VHM Tower Records commercial.

BOS8 Quicksilver "Fresh Air" -- well-worn but still welcome.  This set has been stellar.

I suppose this set had four songs which aren't exactly rare, but are welcome, whereas the rest of the set was stellar.

Waiting for dischead's comment on how the bar is set high for 1970 in 3, 2, 1....

OMFG2: George, "Awaiting on You All", uber-uber-BOS7.

And the pope owns 51% of General Motors
And the stock exchange is the only thing he's qualified to quote us

Great song, another big BOS from me -- one of my all-time-favorite George songs -- Woo Hoo!!

The production is a bit messy, but maybe it's my boom box and not enough volume.  Not one that I've been exposed to much.

My guess is that this one won't disappoint too much.

I'm having a hard time picking a single BOS.  I think I'm going with the TOTHK.  Great kickoff to a great set.

No on-air credit to Pugh today, but clearly he or Rosalie had input -- no way Renee did that on her own.  But kudos to whoever was responsible.

This is the creepiest Clapton tune ever.

Haven't heard it in forever, I like the line "when i'm without you i fall down and graze my knees"

Not sure I recognize these lyrics.  A bit much, eh?

Quote from: Easy Now lyrics
Holding you, you holding me
Everyone could see we were in ecstasy
Making love against the wall
Feeling very small when we didn't need to be

Easy now, don't let my love flow out of you
Please remember that I want you to come too

Oh my darling, help me please
When I'm without you I fall down and graze my knees
I look so funny and I feel sad
Your love is all I've ever had, so please don't tease

Easy now, don't let my love flow out of you
Please remember that I want you to come too

Yesterday, you know tomorrow
Could it be I'll have to borrow someone new?
I know that I'm the one to blame
But all the same, there must be something you can do

Easy now, don't let my love flow out of you
Please remember that I want you to come too

Easy now, don't let my love flow out of you
Please remember that I want you to come too

Easy now, don't let my love flow out of you
Please remember that I want you to come too
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

That line doesn't bother me as much as his love flowing out of her while making love against a wall.  Gravity is a bitch.

Go figure: I catch the RR/GG chatter before the set and hear RR's BOS/VHM vote counting but not the actual set.

it's been a week where the oldest set was from '84.  Friday cries out for '70s, at least, but I'm thinking it may be our 2004 debut.

10@10:05?  RR is a tad behind sked.

Well, they had to fit in the RR/GG dialogue, whatever that was about.

really -- Renee hates football? WTF?

IIRC, Renee was bitching about not being able to use the terms "Super Bowl", "49ers" or "Seahawks" because of some legal thing by the NFL -- I was paying close enough attention to the chatter beyond that.

She was going to watch some marathon on some other channel when the game is on.

Well, the Super Bowl thing is true -- it's a trademarked  phrase -- but of *course* you're allowed to say the names of teams. Jeebus.

And it's not like it can't be referred to something such as "The NFL Championship Game" or something like that. Although, I would agree that radio DJs not being able to use the term is rather lame.

Swore I heard a '3' at the end of the lead-in. Need my ears check, I guess.

Yes I heard this too

Apparently it was Renee saying "Sweeeeeeet!"
