8 Jan 2014: it's... 1991
« on: January 08, 2014, 09:03:26 AM »
either '60s or '90s... unless RR decides to give us our first 2004 set.

pre-set, we get "Tom's Diner" which is from 1990 so... I dunno what that means.

ETA: it's '91, starting with a "Shiny Happy" LN.  I really have no desire to stick around for this.

I'd attempt to take your place in keeping track of all the tunes, but would have to do so much research on unfamiliar '91 tunes that I would get nothing done otherwise...

Like this track, it's, um, STP?  Hell, I don't know.

ETA:  Alice in Chains, "Man in the Box".

Good on you for IDing that one Rod. I was going back and forth between AIC and Soundgarden. Some BOS potential there.

Now we've got Marc Cohn and his 29 Ways. Another in the meh column.
Let's get right to it.

#5 Spin Docs, Jimmy Olson's Blues.

I liked these guys for about a week in '91. At least they did put me off the jam band thing, so for that I'm grateful.

Same here.  I was dating a girl back then who WAS Little Miss Can't Be Wrong, so there was an ironic connection.  Also, I think I got the cassette in a Columbia House, 10 cassettes for a penny deal.  Always a couple of wild cards when trying to come up with number 9 and 10...
