I tuned into WDAS.  They play good stuff!

Is it me, or does the traffic reporter have a really word clipped kind of pronunciation style?  is that a Philly cadence filtered through broadcast standard accent or something?  Part of it must be I'm not familiar with local terminology (like "Hospital curve" -- we know what that is, but an outsider might be thrown off track), so I'm trying to decipher her vocal shorthand and I lose the flow of meaning.

she def swallows some of her words, and I had to do some serious Googling to figure out what "the skookle" is -- turns out it's "Schuykill" (Dutch, I guess) and it's both a river and an expressway.

But they play some awesome stuff -- some overlap with JJ on KPOO but also some serious unique-to-Philly obscurities.
