BOS3 Sly.  Gaz, have you seen that Sly tribute LP?  Got an awful review somewhere (EW?). It's avail at Starbucks...

I knew that John Mayer was working with some blues legend on "You Can Make It If You Try," but I didn't know what else was being done, and DEF didn't know it was out already.  Hope it's with Sly's blessing.

BOS2 to "Stand," hoping for something from Volunteers before we're done.  Crazy World of Arthur Brown would be more than welcome, too.

I notice Dave left out the part about how we "want to be free to get loaded!!"

Selvin panned the Sly tribute in last week's Pink.

Btw, did  anyone else look at the cover of last Sunday's Datebook and think "Court of the Crimson King"?
Let's get right to it.

Yikes! Crow... twice in a week.

Gaz, the non-Motown Motown set is another one that Dave needs to do someday.

1. Flirtations, "Nothin' But a Heartache"
2. Dells, "There Is"
3. Platters, "With This Ring" (best non-Four Tops Four Tops ever)

More?

if you remember, where were you then?  I think it makes a difference.  Dave was in Detroit.

Indeed, I don't understand the dislike of HS&S. As bubblegum psychedelia goes, it's right up there with "Incense & Peppermints" IMHO

Poor Otis dead and gone... BOS5 (!) Doors.

ETA: uh, Jim, the Dock of the Bay ain't in LA... it's in SF.

Is this the Doors or just a remarkable imitation?
Let's get right to it.
