Now I'm eight bits...

This was the least-painful theme set in recent history, and mostly enjoyable.

Most painful: baseball/SF set when Giants won the series. It was the aural equivalent of Fisherman's Wharf on a July Saturday.

enjoyed the set, but I think at this point we've heard every single bit of dialogue from the movie Moonstruck.  AL sure loves her some Cher, I'm thinking.

I assume that's a comment on her looks rather than her Feistalike vocals. Ugh. And don't get me started on Mrazzzz.

which is why I keep requesting "Believe" every time we hit 1999.

Bwahahaha!  It sure was.

But I've found AL's theme sets lately to be some of her most creative.

I thought that was a delightful set today and was glad AL stuck to the "luck" theme specifically -- even tho' it's what she asked for, a bunch of unclear-on-the-concept Fogheads started asking for songs about superstition, which is a different thing, to be pedantic about it (who? me?).

Besides, if she had said "superstition songs" I'd've gotten in another request for Janet Jackson's "Black Cat"  ;)

For SHAME: a re-recorded (non-Teddy P) version of "Bad Luck". WOS.

listening to the replay and I'm still gobsmacked that AL played a re-recorded version of "Bad Luck" -- shouldn't KFOG have the original in their library? What would Dave Morey think?

Even more disconcerting was that nobody on FB had the faintest idea what I was talking about.

When I play golf, I usually have a semi-internal soundtrack going (it annoys people when I start singing on the golf course, but it happens :).  As I was on the way to the course yesterday, flippin' through the pre-sets, Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know" began and I instantly pushed another button, not so much because I'm sick of it, but more because I DID NOT WANT THAT STUCK IN MY HEAD for that round of golf.  But this is an aside...

Today, playing my second round of the weekend, about half way through the round I got onto "With A Little Luck", out of the blue.  There is no way I would have gotten on to that if I hadn't heard it in Friday's set.  So, it may not have been the best or the most necessary of set, but you have to give Sir Paul his due on writing memorable and catchy tunes...
