I know it's fashionable to trash the Spin Doctors, but "Two Princes" is a great dumb pop single that sounded great on the radio at the time.

Remember the video, with the old fashioned subtitle cards?

As I said before: early 90s sets are very educational for me. And the lesson I'm learning today? I didn't miss a whole lot in 1993 music-wise.

No, Mike's right on this one: If we went back and compared the past ten 1993 sets, I guarantee that Portrait song would appear in at least seven of them.  It's a very forgettable song -- a last gasp for New Jack Swing before gangsta took over the R&B landscape -- so I can understand the seeming unfamiliarity ... but it's a definite overplay.

This was a really fun dance tune back in the day, but I bet it is now the single worst Katrina, based on total percentage of year specific sets it shows up in.  We don't hit '93 so often, but I bet Haddaway appears in Every. Single. One.

Watch Beej's avatar -- almost in sync with this "What is Love?" song.

Which, BTW, is a guilty pleasure of mine.  Loved it in "A Night at the Roxbury", a film that is also a guilty pleasure...

I never felt educated enough on NAFTA to have an opinion on it.

Almost any song from 1993 would qualify as an overplay, but I don't think the song was ever played in regular rotation on KFOG then, so it becomes kind of existential as far as Katrina-worthiness is concerned.  How many 1993 sets have there even been?

True, I think, but Haddaway appears more often even.

BOS to this "What If I Came Knocking" song that I've never heard before.  This can't be John Mellencamp, can it?  Damn, he got a fire here.
