WDAS plays a soul cover of Perry Como's "It's Impossible" by New Birth (!) -- NTM and quite wonderful.

'DAS just played Dyke & the Blazers' version of "Funky Broadway". I've always loved their name. I wonder how many dykes drive Chevy Blazers?

and here's a NTM Jacksons rarity, "Even Though You're Gone", from the Goin' Places era. Sweet.

The Technicolor Web of Sound, an AWESOME psych and garage online station, looks to be gone -- possibly for good (http://www.techwebsound.com/PHPBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=272&start=140).

But Lo!  Up has cropped this new station called Psychedelicized

"ah may not be able to express... the depth... of the love ah feel for WDAS..." but they just played the looooooong version of Miss Ross' "Ain't No Mountain..." which you rarely hear these days. Kudos.

OMFG: the Jerry Butler orig of "Brand New Me" (Dusty's was the cover, tho' she sho' 'nuff made it her own).

'DAS has been stellar all day but they just did a double play of 2 of my faves: Archie Bell, "I Just can't Stop Dancin'" into the Chi-Lites, "Stone Outta My Mind". I'm a back-seat driver in a car of love... but lemme put this hamburger down.

No surprise, I guess, but JJ on KPOO opened his show with "TSOP" by MFSB.
