Is this an OK place to broadcast your Joe Buck stories? Wow, I just realized for the first time that he shares a name with the Midnight Cowboy.

TANC!  There's a famous rumor about Mr Buck supposedly liking men, despite being married with children. It involves a famous and sexy former baseball player. That's enuf for now.

Haha, yesterday at the Gym bar (a gay sports bar here in NYC), my friends and I played a simple drinking game: Drink every time Joe Buck looks longingly into Troy Aikman's eyes.  We had a buzz by the end of the pregame.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

The downside of having a SF team in playoff mode: Ashkon records another crappy song...

KQED just mentioned that Train will perform at today's pre-game show, specifically mentioning Save Me San Francisco

will they put evern more crappier lyrics in this versoon?

some suggestions (Train, feel free to use these!)

The hate for Alex Smith was viral
until he threw that tasty spiral
To good ol' number eight five.

etc.

Kristen Chenoweth will do the national anthem.

Brad Paisley will perform at half time.  He better keep his picking fingers warm!

It's just a game, folks!
Kyle Williams gets death threat tweets
Some fans turn on Niners return man after he muffed one punt and fumbled on another.

tweets can be traced.  Knuckleheads making threats via Twitter can be found if need be.

when Kristen Chenoweth was singing the national anthem, the jumbotron was showing various players and coaches.  Of course, a Giants player would get boos, and Niners players would get cheers.

Fans, we are all supposed to STFU when the Star Spangled Banner is played and put out hands over our hearts.  Another reason not to play the national anthem before sporting events.  No one knows what it means or how to behave.

seen on twitter:

@JspiderSF
It's not @KyleWilliams_10 fault. blame for #49ers loss clearly rests on @train's shoulders for tainting candlestick with that godawful song

@SF_CableCar
Did @Train just sing about me at the game?!? #49ers

@PeaceLoveJuly
The best that the @49ers could come up with is...Train?? I'm embarrassed. Also, nobody in SF actually likes their SF song. It's godawful.

@train
Playing pregame at @49ers vs NYGiants at Candlestick Park on Sunday! We're freaking out with excitement! Save us, San Francisco! Go Niners!

@biird
Train performing before Niners game. Suddenly, I lack the confidence that I've had the past 6 days

@FunkyFrijoles
If the #49ers lose tomorrow, automatic blame goes to Train csnbayarea.com/blog/niners-ta…

@erikawas
Thank God it's just pregame “@train: Playing pregame at @49ers vs NYGiants at Candlestick Park on Sunday! freaking excitement! Go Niners!”

Bradying!  Making fun of Tebowing AND Tom Brady in one handy bit of snark!  Very cool.

Really, Oakland? Manny Ramirez??

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/02/20/SPJ01NA3TI.DTL

Most hilarious line in the article: "Ramirez has been known for a great work ethic..."

Knowing the A's, they'll activate him just in time to trade him.

They've done this before.. with John Jaha, Frank Thomas (twice), Mike Piazza, Mike Sweeney, Jason Giambi (the second time), Nomar Garciaparra. More often than not it doesn't work.

pretty amazing piece on SFGate about where the Oakland Coliseum was *almost* built, near Lake merrit -- damn this is walking ditance from my office; I'd be going to A's games once a week, probably.

I'm predicting that the 2022 A's will be playing.... exactly where they are right now.
