« on: May 09, 2011, 01:44:47 PM »
McCartney saw classical musician David Mason playing the trumpet on Bach's 'Brandenburg' Concerto No. 2 in F Major on television in 1967. The next day, producer George Martin recruited him to play on 'Penny Lane.'  He also contributed to several other Beatles' songs recorded in 1967: "A Day in the Life," "Magical Mystery Tour" and "All You Need Is Love"
