Lawd! one of my fave Teddy P/Harold Melvin tracks, "Satisfaction Guaranteed (Or Take Your Love back)" -- how this failed to make the pop Top 40 is baffling to me.

"You ain't got no reason to be nervous
'Cause Teddy Bear gonna give you the best of service!"

 :o  :o  :o

and it's followed by Marvin, "Come Get To This". Whooo!

Listening to an all-soul-Beatle-covers channel; a few too many smooth-jazz instrumentals for my taste, but up pops Lou Rawls' version of "Golden Slumbers" -- NTM and quite tasty.

Listening to KCDX for the first time in ages --- their player didn't work for the longest time -- and they're as quirky as ever: Dire Straits' "Twistin By the Pool" followed by Ms King's "Been to Canaan".

Ms King's "Been to Canaan".

I have never heard that song on the radio in any format, unless Casey played it once.  Otherwise I know it only from a friend's collection.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

After dedicating his '70s show to Gen'l Johnson, JJ is saluting Solomon Burke on the '60s portion. SB's version of "Proud Mary" is pretty cool and I'd never heard it before this week.
