17 June 2010: it's... 1978
« on: June 16, 2010, 01:45:18 PM »
Haven't been to FB to hunt for clues, but if I were a betting man my money'd be on either '75 or '78.

ETA: yup, '78 it is.  The usual overplayed suggestions ("Baker Street", Bob Seger, The Cars) from Fogheads; but one woman asked for Barry Manilow which I wholeheartedly seconded.  (and that was before I discovered tomorrow is Mr Manilow's birthday)

Guilty on the Baker Street request, but in all honesty I never get tired of it. Sort of my personal Katrina.

Wouldn't mind hearing Manilow's "Copacabana" though.

I'll make my way to FB and try to tune in tomorrow. For Rafferty I prefer Home & Dry but never tire of Baker St..  Too many choices for 78.
How about Steve Martin and the Toot Uncommons?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgTPH5y1-ZI

oops, I was reading so quickly I didn't realize that was you.  Any time you need a "Baker St" fix, just turn on 103.7 The Band and wait about, oh, 20 minutes.  ;)

What a strange segue, though, from Valerie Bertinelli dropping the baton to Rafferty's Baker St. excursion.

And I love any excuse to say "Raphael Ravenscroft."  BOS.

BOS2 Mr Palmer with a song that would not have been out of place on Marvin's What's Goin' On.
