uber-BOS English Beat ska-ifying Andy Williams' "Can't Get Used to Losing You". (I loved the original when I was 8!)
I'll second that.  They're some of the real class of the 80s.  And nice of them to let the non-lead singer (I gotta read up on these guys...) do a couple verses.

You mean Dave Wakeling, the blond guy?  he pretty much sang at least half the time.  Ranking Roger was the other singer, who did mostly ska dubbing singing.  Check out their big hits, like "Mirror in the Bathroom," and you hear Dave singing the verses.  He still tours around as the English Beat.  He's got a great voice.  I think he lives in Marin now.

VHM for the Burning Sensations.  This still sounds good to me, even though it's gotten tons of airplay.

BOS3 to Genesis.

I'll give them a nod, too.  Although I probably said I didn't like when they went commercial back then, I have an appreciation for their later stages.

it's a good album:

I wonder if "There's an Ointment for That" would be a good name for a band.  Or at least an album title.

The problem was that things just kept getting worse (and of course more successful) from here.

Holy Toledo - a U2 song I've never heard before?  Plenty of cowbell.

Almost sounded like "Working for the Weekend" at the beginning.
