Fri 3/26/10: 1969!

Can't Find My Way Back Home - Blind Faith
Honky Tonk Woman - Rolling Stones
Okie From Muskogee - Merle Haggard
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down - The Band
Evil Ways - Santana
Ballad of Easy Rider - The Byrds
Does Anybody Really know What Time it Is - Chicago
Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young
Proud Mary - CCR
Spinning Wheel - Blood Sweat & Tears

holy crap! "Ballad of Easy Rider" AND "Okie From Muskogee"!! I'd've much preferred '69 to '96. Gotta catch the replay on this one.

WTF? I'm listening to the replay and some of the songs are different: so far it's been Blind Faith, Stones, Santana... and now Sly's "Everyday People" followed by Zep's "Whole Lotta Love". Er...?

ETA: "Proud Mary" followed by the Chicago song (replete with the rarely-heard piano intro!) and then "Cinnamon Girl". And -- finally! -- here's Merle! Sounds like a re-recording, however, not the original hit version. And we close with Tull, "Living in the Past" in it's orig year of release. And "because the songs were so short" we get the Byrds as song #11. So we lost the Band and BS&T... assuming they really were played this morning. Odd.
