Fresh Air, (on KALW right now, at 9 AM) is doing a show on Teddy P.

If you can't catch it now, they should archive the show on their web site eventually

ah, that would be Garrison Keillor's Writer's Almanac.  That's a nice break every morning. -- Geoff knows this! :)

Every weekday at 9 AM, you'll hear Terry Gross' voice announce "From WHYY in Philadelphia and this .... is FRESSSH AIRRRR."

Then they break for the Almanac and come back and start Fresh Air.

Larry Grogan of the "Funky 16 Corners" blog posted this terrific appreciation of the Teddy P version of "Don't Leave Me This Way" -- glad to see I wasn't the only one for whom this version flew under my radar (I'd never heard it until a few years ago).

most folks heard Thelma's first, methinks -- the Teddy was an LP cut in an era when R&B LP cuts didn't get radio exposure (unless it was Stevie Wonder).  Philly Int'l was crazy not to release it as a 45, tho'.
