Almost Cut My Hair

silly I know, but I love this song.  It instantly flashes me back to Isla Vista, where you didn't need to own this, it wafted out of every student's apartment window.

I'm totally with you on this one Beej.

Thanks, man! Your mind is not for rent to any God or government.

it begs the question, though: what is it about Canada that makes men sing so high?

It balances out Gordon Lightfoot.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Sure, when Neil sings falsetto-y, it's great. But if Getty Lee does it? RUSH sucks.

Double-standard!

Neil's whine = the pain of human suffering
Geddy's whine = the ability to communicate with dogs

HEH, HEH!

We know Mark is from St. Louis, so that might explain his Rush predeliction, but where'd you get exposed Beej?

Fair Oaks, CA. It's a suburb of Sacramento. Freshman year in high school.

WHOA - I really think "Almost Cut My Hair" is a 10@10 breakout.  Wasn't this snipped from A to Z?

Yes, it sure was.  So instead of a possible George/Beatles pairing we get a Neil/CSNY pairing.  Veddy interesting.

don't know about A to Z, but I'm pretty sure we've heard it in a 10@10 set before. Been a while though.
Let's get right to it.

You all realize, of course, that the more you argue that RUSH sucks- the more I'll say I love it just to spite you.

As another with roots in Sacburg, I suspected as much. Rush was big in Sacto--they used to come thru and play Memorial Aud almost every year from the mid-70s on, until they got too big for a 4000-seater, and Sac didn't have an arena til the mid-80s.
Let's get right to it.
