This isn't the version I'm used to hearing either--anyone know where it might have originated?

The fabulous VENTURES, baby!  BOS4 and best commercial ever.

Wonder if they were commissioned to write this for the TV show, or it was already written, then licensed by the producers of 5-0?

I believe it was written for the TV show (that's not them doing it on the show, I don't think) and they saw a good cover opportunity.

ETA: "The song was composed by Morton Stevens, who also composed numerous episode scores" (per Wiki)

Five O fans should chk this site out:

I started renting and watching the first couple season.  Love it.

HEY!  Nobody told me my screenscraping script wasn't working anymore, so I've got a 6-month hole in my "database".  Meh.

Ok, fixing now.

Darryl, can you pop off each day's setlist separately and put them into an RSS feed?  (Does this simple machines forum have RSS capability?)

KFOG used to have a RSS feed of their sets, but that went away w their redesign.

If I wasn't a lazy-ass, yes.  :-}

But seriously, in the past their formatting was pretty loose, so it wasn't easy to parse, and I just said nevermind.  I'm thinking of doing the same thing again, sorry.

omg Monkey Man!  one of Keith's best riffs!  (Ron Wood agrees)

Problem is, I just saw this past week a rerun of the South Park episode where Mrs. Garrison fights with Richard Dawkins over evolution and then has sex with him ... and screams, uncomfortably like Mick does here, "I'm a monkey! I'm a monkey!"

Song's ruined for me now.

And if I remember correctly, the drummer on that album was Alan White, who would join Yes a couple of years later after Bill Bruford's departure.

Just wanted (since I so often criticize them) to give kudos to the Fogheads for voting this BOS. If larry had played this in LA, the Sound-heads (or whatever they're called) would've burned him in effigy. I mean... we're picky, but those folks don't like ANYTHING.
