Could this be the Robert Palmer tri-spin?

There's a lady in a turban and a cocaine tree...

Somebody got to explain to Mr. Palmer about where that stuff comes from. But it was the 70s.

BOS3 Sailin' Shoes (with high hopes for Hey Julia>Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley).

ETA: Cha-CHING!!! Gots it!
Let's get right to it.

or is this Robert Palmer?  I don't trust myself anymore!

Hey, I'm not seeing this in the DB, but I'd swear we'd heard this some time in the last couple of years. Or was that Ginger's doing?

Ginger, more than once.  And I'm pretty sure Bob played just "Sally" at least once.

Ginger played it, I do believe, but so has Dave, at least once, in my experience.

I always liked Robert Palmer, but his version of Sailin' Shoes seemed like such an homage, I get confused.  The Lowell George vocal treatments are spot on.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

Another one that evokes the mid-70s so completely: Joni, singin' about David Geffen. BOS4 Free Man In Paris. So glad I got to see her when she was still in full bloom, in the early 80s.
Let's get right to it.

In her 8 sets so far, Annalisa has averaged more than 1 bustout/set.

she's also averaging a lot more comments from us.

VHM Marty Feldman. BOS4 Joni

BOS n+1 to Marty Feldman.

Is it just within my family, or has "could be worse, could be raining" become a standard rejoinder in the broader culture?

Part of that is coincidental with the end of school & the unshackling of Geoff.   :D ;) :D
