Wow, radio really hadn't started sucking yet in 79.

Assuming you had a new-wave-oriented AOR station in your town.

Holy crap, that Andy Kaufman/Johnny Cash clip into -- Jeezus! -- "Ghost Riders in the Sky".  BOS9 and I am utterly blown away.

BOS6 Blondie's fab "Dreaming" -- is this a KFOG bustout? Don't think Dave ever played this, much as I wished he would.

It's not in the Db, and for the second consecutive year-based set, Annalisa serves up a group that had no previous entries (first Pixies, now Buzzcocks).

ETA: and now we can add Johnny Cash, in any incarnation!  Damn!

the song is ancient, but I had no idea JC did a version in this year either.

well, it's quite old (originally a hit in 1948) but Johnny's version was '79 I guess (didn't he also do it with Waylon & Willie in the '80s?)

OMG, My Balogna!  Heeeelarious!

Excellent double play.
I still have fond memories of playing Wierd Al's "Eat It" right after Michael Jackson's "Beat It" -- they were both on the same jukebox in some bar in Palo Alto.
Now I'm eight bits...

"My Bologna"!!!!

LOL!  And "My Sharona" follows, a song that has surprisngly few Db entries.  It's in there thrice in a '79 set, thrice as the '79 entry in a VT, and once in a theme set (Earworms).

Hah, I contrived to use 'thrice' in a sentence twice!
