oye, Will The Wolf Survive?

David Hidalgo has a fantastic voice.  BOS

I saw Los Lobos in '85 at a small DC club. (Club Bayou?) I kept yelling out my request for Diablo Con Vestido Azul (they did it for the Eating Raoul Sontrack), but they ignored me.  Por que?

Billy Idols' Flesh For Fantasy doesn't do it for me.....

...but U2's Pride (In The Name Of Love) does.  BOS2

Style Council is playing.  BOS3

I'll bail after this one ... except for SRV, nothing is worth it:

5/1 - 1984
=================
It's My Life - Talk Talk
Will the Wolf Survive - Los Lobos
Flesh for Fantasy - Billy Idol
Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2
Pretty Persuasian - REM
My Ever Changing Moods - Style Council
Runaway - Bon Jovi
Cold Shot - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Original Sin - INXS
Run to You - Bryan Adams

eta: I actually played the rest of set later, and it was fun. Sorry to rush to judgement.

What's up w the falsetto screaming screaming of Bon Jovi's Runaway?  He appears to be just making noises and not forming real words in that part...   ::)

Stevie Ray's Cold Shot -- guitar god!

Bryan Adams - I know he takes some heat, but it was good!    Larry called Bryan a guilty pleasure, then retracted it and said "it sounds like a slam b/c I like that album and I like that cut!"

Larry and Julie Slater, the next deejay, then poked fun at Top 40 stations, by fake giggling and whooping and saying things like "Playin' nothin' but the hits!"

I like this station
