Howdy, Rastermon!

BOS to INXS: "Sometimes you kick ... sometimes you get kicked."  I prefer to think this is not about drugs.

Saw INXS in mid '90's at Warfield and for $10(!) at HP Pavilion, great shows!

BOS2 to one I had in my head earlier today, "Coming Up Close."  Aimee Mann sings distant regret like no one else.

I'm getting mighty sick of her "Freeway" song -- in HEAVY rotation right now on KFOG.

Gary Hart gets caught... d'oh!
That's painful where he says they can ask him about adultery, ask him about anything.  So they ask if he's been monogamous: "I....don't need to answer that question."  Eek.

I remember being seriously caught up in Hart Mania that summer, and then sooo disappointed.  And then we had to settle for Dukakis, who was the most un-presdential candidate the Dems have put for ward in my lifetime.

Me too, sort of.  A bit of the LSJUMB that was around that summer played a (unauthorized) rally for Gary Hart.  We all got T-shirts.

ETA: This was in 84.  Did the Monkey Business stuff not happen until 87?  I'm cornfoosed.

I was pretty disappointed too. My college roommate was a Hart campaign worker 83-84 - not 87

Are you familiar with the cheating-on-his-wife stuff going on with John Edwards right now -- the Enquirer are doing their damndest to get the mainstream media to pick up on it, but so far they won't bite.

I'm afraid this resession will be much worse than 87's black monday. My Mac widget national debt counter is nearing 10 trillion!

But did you hear Dave say "hello to The Club"?  Did he mean us?  Does he know about us?  (sorry, Tracey.)

I think he meant the foghead birthday club.

Your absolutely right.  And then you ask: What is a house worth?  What are 100 shares of YHOO worth?

I'd have felt better if Dave had played "World Shut Your Mouth" after Crowded House.
