7/23/08: Dave's Not Here, Man: a "classic" from 1977
« on: July 23, 2008, 09:37:54 AM »
And I'm home sick too -- looks like I didn't miss much, what with '80s & '90s in the other zones.

ETA: actually, Rob's set looked real good -- "Hitsville UK" always roolz!

Hope you feel better. I've been fighting a cold, congestion, itchy ears, sore throat. Getting better day by day. No job to call in sick to!  ;D

What is this song?  Reminds me of Steely Dan's "Glamour Profession".  I have a feeling I made this same comment last time...It's deja vu all over again.

"Cherchez La Femme"

Anyone remember the comic strip Pogo, by the late great Walt Kelly?  And the turtle Churchy LaFemme?

Playing a Sex Pistols newsclip and following it with Aerosmith is like talking about Scarlett Johanssen and showing a picture of Rosie O'Donnell ;)
