when the Cars tune is the least Katrinish of Set --- that's saying something! "Victim of Love" -- could this be a bustout?

And even odder if my only BOS so far is for the Cars.

so I understand there are some Cars non-lovers here?  does that include their first two albums?  I can understand losing faith after Candy-O, but the first two ...  come on, classics!  :)
You'll have a kindred spirit in SFGuy.  The Cars were largely a "victim" of across-the-board overplay - they fit into all formats.

My BOS went to Simple Minds, but I got a guilty giggle out of "Only Time Will Tell."

I also think the Cars did some great classic stuff.  Killer on headphones too!

We're just a bit jaded around here -- we've been doing this a long time.  Just wait until Dave plays some late period Clapton -- duck and cover.

Personally, I don't mind a lot of the Cars, though they're not in my wheelhouse.  And I'll agree with the first two albums comment, if only because I owned them at the time and played them a lot...

Hola from the City of Broad Shoulders. Looks like I picked a good day to be in Chicago. I'd have BOS'd Simple Minds as well. And I'd go along with Tinka's assertion that the first two Cars albums were better than what followed, but I've still heard them more than I care to. (With the possible exceptions of Candy-O (the song) or Moving in Stereo.)
Let's get right to it.
