He was an integral part of Quicksilver Messenger Service in the Shady Grove days.  "Edward the Mad Shirt Grinder" was a KSAN staple, and a piano tour-de-force.  He was also briefly with the Jerry Garcia Band, and there was some incredible interplay between him and Garcia.  Many many others.

of course it's supposed to be "goddess" but there's that unmistakable "n" sound in there.  I have searched forever for one of their follow-ups, which got some NYC airplay: "Never Marry a Railroad Man".

I thought I saw her in the audience on the RockNRoll HOF induction special last nite on VH-1. But I couldn't imagine why she'd be there.
