The Peak, 12/4/07: it was 1980
« on: December 04, 2007, 07:47:33 AM »
Roxy Music In the Midnight Hour
Paul Simon Late In The Evening
Blotto I Wanna Be a Lifeguard
Blondie Call Me
Graham Parker Endless Night
Bruce Springsteen Hungry Heart
Pretenders Precious
Queen Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Elvis Costello King Horse
Holly & the Italians Tell That Girl to Shut Up

kudos on the Holly & the Italians, a fab slice of punk/new wave later covered bt Transvision Vamp, and Blotto's terrific B-52s knockoff.  Not to mention Graham Parker, obscure Elvis C, and Chrissie telliing us to fuck off.  A great set all around, despite the overplayed Queen.  Worth a listen on the replay.

I never knew until you wrote that, that Transvision Vamp's was a cover version.  Now I definitely have to check out the replay.

Holly = Holly Beth Vincent, who later did some solo stuff and recorded a duet of "I Got You Babe" with Joey Ramone.
