I'm anticipating Lee Michaels and Jim Croce.  Got sophisti-pop on my mind, though.

Well, I'll be: Pigs fly, and the Raspberries occupy a position other than TOTHC.

BOS to "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down."  One of the most effectively emotionally-manipulative songs ever.  Would you believe I've never heard Joan Baez's hit version?

Seriously? That would seem... impossible. That album (Blessed Are...) is quite wonderful, if you like Joanie. Which I certainly did at that time.  Surprised that Kid Rock hasn't attempted a cover... if the song were new today it'd be scorned as too "red state".

Double-dip o' the Band here -- is this counting as one or 2?

"Did you hear of my enlistment?"  Almost Hemingway-esque.

and quite a nice piece of poetry overall; they were considered rather lightweight (and became even more so as time went on) but this is an underrated tune.

BOS "Me & Julio". A HUGE record in NYC even though it failed to crack the top 20 nationally.
