Well I'm gonna give a preemptive BOS to whatever Carpenters song it turns out to be.

ETA: Dave did play "Bless the Beasts and the Children" once in a 1971 set, but I suppose for a '72 set you're going to be right.

First time I'd heard of it too, but the term derives from the Reign of Terror of the Jacobins in the French Revolution.
