Trivial point that may only interest me:  precisely 2 years ago Dave also played a 1968 set & S&G "America" was Tune #3 then, too.

Any prediction for the obligatory Beatles?  I'm gonna go left-field and say "Martha, My Dear."

BOS2 to "Hush," which was to my ears the first "Hard Rock" hit, unless Blue Cheer's "Summertime Blues" beat it.

Actually, if this is only our fifth visit to 68 this year, our average is off from the past two years: in 04 we visited 68 7 times, and in 05 it was 9. With any luck we might get one more before Dec 31.

Although I guess the 60s sets in general have been more scarce this year.

Blue Cheer was indeedd a month or 2 ahead of DP.  But I'm sure there's something hard before that, I'll have to ponder the question. I take it psychedelia is in a diff category?

That's what I was gonna say!  But it's not that left field, the only Beatles song from '68 played more often is "Revolution".

Yeah, I think of "Somebody to Love" in a different category, though maybe I should rethink that.
