Have you ever heard Dorothy Moore's "I Believe You"?  I have it on a radio mix tape and think it could make for the *perfect* wedding song (next to the Platters' "With This Ring," of course).
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

I guess I don't have to tell you that the Carpenters covered it a year after Dorothy's version made the Top 40...

Ever hear the original, country version of "Misty Blue" by Wilma Burgess? Remind me to show you her picture when you come over.

Actually, I didn't know this.  Would love to hear this.

As for Wilma Burgess - she's the scary-looking truck-driving straight-razor-totin' bulldyke you were talking about long ago, no?

LOL! Well put. She did the song in the early '60s... in the '80s she opened Nashville's first lesbian bar! And heeere's Wilma:

That's not the pic I have at home, but it's close enough.

And they say dykes have no fashion sense...

She looks a little like "Large Marge" from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
