HM to "How Long," even if I don't quite know what "fancy persuasions" are.

I can think of a few, especially if they are 'part of a scheme'.

I seem to recall reading that the song is not about a (love) relationship breaking up via unfaithfulness (as widely assumed) but that it was a member of the band castigating the others for something-or-other. So your guess about "fancy persuasions" is as good as anyone's.

iirc, "Thunder Road" merits a proxy BOS for Beej.

OMG! BOS to my fave little-played FMac tune, "Blue Letter" -- I've said before that Ms Ronstadt shoulda covered this one.

You know, back inthe day I thought the was a song about a cheatin' lover, but after awhile that changed & for many years now I've assumed this to be about a backstage conspiracy, a la Brutus & Julius Caesar.

Oooh, BOS F Mac, a B-N twin-spin of sorts, right?

I'll give you a 'Spot On' for that one.  Agree on both the 'fave little-played FMac tune' bit & the 'Ronstadt shoulda covered this' bit.

The song was written about the band's drummer, who'd bailed on them to join another band a few weeks prior.

I've never heard this Dylan, believe it or not.

BOS Dylan, "You're A Big Girl Now".  One of the ten best LP's of All Time on many lists, including my own.

Time is a jet plane, it moves too fast.  What a shame what we shared can't last.

Why in The HELL doesn't Dave hit Blood On The Tracks more often????????

Indeed. Another of the unfathomable mysteries surrounding the enigma that is Morey. An LP that literally EVERY track got FM airplay at the time.
