BBOS again to Pino Palladino

well, I no longer repeat myself, I now recognize this as somebody or other doing a song called "Whistle Down the Wind"  but Pina Palladino's bass line leaves everything else about the song in the dust.

VHM Nick Heyward, "Whistle Down the Wind". ending tastefully, as Dave will no doubt say.

"hope you're feeling fine/ hope you're feeling mine" indeed!

Yeah, now everytime I hear Jackson Browne I think about your snarky comment!  Hey, his early stuff is great.  This era leaves me pretty unmoved.

I think his overtly political '80s stuff holds up quite well, relevance-wise.

I emailed him, just as I did the other day when he played a song from the wrong year.

I gotta agree with you. His albums through the 70s were great, but he seemed to lose something post-Running On Empty that he only regained in part and for a short time on his Lives in the Balance (the overtly political stuff Mike made reference to) from which I believe we heard a track last week. But since that time I can't say I've heard anything new of his that even remotely stands up. (And the Hold Out album, which directly followed Running on Empty, is TERRIBLE--shows the negative effect cocaine can have on an artist, I think.
Let's get right to it.
