Yes indeed.  Elements of this set really reflect what 1980 sounded like to me.  And I do wish people still wrote and performed songs like this today.

I'm still here, yup.  And now, the dud of a Madonna single, "Hung Up."  If I want to listen to ABBA, I'll listen to ABBA, thanks.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help me find a radio station that plays this kind of rhythmic easy listening.  Free Design's another good example, I suppose I'd put Herb Alpert in the category as well.  Is there a name for the subgenre?  (At least, I'd think it a subgenre of Sunshine Pop.)
