24 March 2015: it's... Outside Lands lineup promo
« on: March 24, 2015, 07:49:14 AM »
No thread and I haven't heard a promo. I'm guessing either '70s or '90s

ETA: AL just posted that we're getting a set based on the just-announced-today Outside Lands lineup. (Which can be rerun on the Friday of OL weekend in August.) I think I'll pass...

Elton, Mumford et al, Black Keys, Milky Chance, a few others I couldn't understand. Big effin' whoop.
Let's get right to it.

Elton...

So, no Dolce & Gabbanna sponsorship, then.

Apparently the Mumfords have "gone electric" on the new album. Mandolins be damned!

I'm experimenting with the different streams. Does it seem like the tunegenie stream sounds better than the streamtheworld stream? It does to me. But it takes like 5 minutes for the KFOG listen live page to connect. And the volume only appears to have 100%, 50% and 10% settings. Very odd.

so far:

1. Elton John - Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)
2. Billy Idol - Dancing with Myself
3. Ben Harper - Steal My Kisses
4. The Black Keys - Turn Blue
5. Tame Impala - Elephant
6. Mumford and Sons - I Will Wait
7. St. Paul and the Broken Bones - Call Me
8. Wilco - I Might

Fairly pedestrian with the possible exception of Wilco.

You don't have to sign up to use it, do ya? Pushing the play button has done nothing so far...

ETA: Oh, there it goes. Weird delays. But it also seems to sound better than the 48K stream that I can run directly from Winamp. Oh well.

ETAA: Oh wait, no, that's the KFOG page player on another browser...iHeart still dormant.

No I use it without signing up -- but's it's definitely wonky.

I guess it's inevitable that a 10@10 set will be turned into a lame commercial for
Outside Lands, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.  And it starts with one of
EJ's worst hits, IMO.  Ugh.  I won't say the streak is over, though -- just suspended
for one day.
