KPOO's got JJ on D Radio 'til 5:30. The Deele, "Two Occasions", which I haven't heard in ages (and would be a fine addition to any '88 set).

and now he's playing the new Stevie, a rather sappy ballad called "Shelter in the Rain".

Tried tuning in KPOO earlier, but had many buffering issues so bailed to CG around 2. Sweeney's been OK today. Just missed all but the end of 2-4-6-8 Motorway, and now he's playing Donovan's Catch the Wind, which would be a welcome nugget had it not been appropriated by a car maker who's name is escaping me (so take that, usurpers of pop culture!)

Anticipate a resurgence of interest in it: it's directly referenced in Mariah Carey's recent #1 smash "We Belong Together."  (As is Bobby Womack's "If You Think You're Lonely Now.")[/i]

Volvo.  Of course Mr Leitch is a commercial veteran ("Wear Your Love Like Heaven" was a perfume ad in 1968!) and his songs have been all over the place in the last year or so.

Last nite I saw another car ad that used a version of "Take me for a ride in the car car" which I always thought was a Woody Guthrie song.  Does Arlo need the bread?
