Requested "Run Away" and "In The House Of Stone And Light". Was tempted to request "Good" to raise RGM's blood pressure  8)

I think I'll be skipping this one  ;)  That Good Friday "Jesus Rock" set was too much to hope for.

Since I won't be around for this one, somebody (besides RGMike, apparently!) take notes!

I will say that AL usually has the set-list posted on the KFOG site by early-to-mid afternoon. I guess Giter still sends her the list right after song #10 finishes.

Today is also 1906 Quake Day, so a 1989 set would not have been a surprise.

"Alright", Supergrass

followed by

"Girl Like You", Edwyn Collins

then by

"Gel", Collective Soul

So far, three songs that I like that aren't exactly revolutionary.

followed by Weird Al's cover of "Lump", "Gump"

and the incredibly LN, "Good" by Better Than Ezra

and Toad The Wet Sprocket's "Good Intentions".

Note the 'G' theme.

Chris Isaak breaks the G-String with "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing", followed by "Sour Times" by Portishead.

#9, Randy Newman's "You've Got A Friend In Me"

and Montell Jordan closes with "This Is How We Do It". There's your bustout! (although Newman might be as well). Certainly Jordan would be the boldest bustout.

Although Newman gets spins here & there in 80s sets, I'll give her points for including it here because the only other time I've heard the song on the radio is on the Fox Kids Club Countdown.

again, I'd've sworn we heard the Newman in a "10@10 goes to the Movies" set (either from DM or AL) but apparently not. So that and the Montell Jordan (one from my '95 WishList) are yer bustouts.

ETA: a further, more refined search found the Newman tune in a "post-Oscar party" set from Feb 2011. So there.

Ok, I missed that set, as I often decide to do with theme sets. (but then, the statement that I haven't heard it elsewhere is still technically true. ;) )

OJ acqutted --> "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" is a classic segue, ahtellyouwhut.

the Edwyn Collins is the uber-katrina of '95, fo' sho' --  between the Clueless and Empire Records sndtks there's a bunch of great songs we've never heard that we should.
