14 March 2014: it's... 1979
« on: March 13, 2014, 08:52:20 PM »
It ain't the Sixties... but it ain't bad.

I requested David Jo, "Melody", and the Tourists (pre-Eurythmics), "I Only Wanna Be With You".  Fat chance of either.

Well, "Disco Strangler" beats "Heartache Tonight", but I'd've preferred "The Greeks Don't want no Freaks"

yeah, I adore Roxy Music, but this is the obvious choice.   Angel Eyes was suggested on the FB thread.   That would've been acceptable....

Well, I'd give this a B. A couple of mild surprises, and a couple of LNs, but overall, pleasant if not earth-shattering.
