Mon 5/23/11: Bob's got the Monday Blues

Blues to make you snooze, 10-way proxy of GazWOS.

most-played blues song ever? BB's "Thrill is Gone" to start.

VHM ABB; BOS KoKo Taylor, pitchin' a Wang Dang Doodle.

"Mannish Boy" arrives to, er, muddy the waters.

"Midnight Rambler" not the bluesiest Stones tune I can think of, but BOS2 for relieving the monotony.

Jeezus, Canned Heat? Completely unnecessary -- WOS.

BB King - The Thrill is Gone
Allman Brothers - One Way Out
Koko Taylor - Wang Dang Doodle
Cream - Crossroads
Muddy Waters - Mannish Boy
Rolling Stones - Midnight Rambler
John Lee Hooker - Boom Boom
Canned Heat - On The Road Again
Stevie Ray Vaughan - The Sky is Crying
Lonnie Brooks - Sweet Home Chicago

well, at least we avoided the Blues Bros.

Thur 5/26/11: 1979

we're promised Sir Bob & his Rats, which may be the least-AOR track we can hope for.

WOS1: Journey. "Just the same" crap as al("way")s.

Mr Walsh is in the city; Al Pacino is "out of aw-duh"

Least necessary: "My Sharona".

aaack: Foreigner are dirty, white boys. Pass the Purell. WOS2.

The Rats arrive: BOS for lack of anything better.  VHM Zep.

eeeek: Styx, "Babe" -- the looong version.  WOS3.

Here comes mah Petty with "Here Comes Mah Gurl".

proxy of GazWOS: AC/DC, hellbound. VHM from me just 'cause it probably pisses off the fundies.

BadCo's "Gone Gone Gone" is a relative rarity. But that doesn't mean it's good.

Journey - Just the Same Way
Joe Walsh - In the City
Knack - My Sharona
Foreigner - Dirty White Boy
Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays
Led Zeppelin - Fool in the Rain
Styx - Babe
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Here Comes My Girl
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Bad Company - Gone, Gone, Gone

Fri 5/27/11: 1972

Listening to KFOG to see what Krukow says about Buster, but monitoring Bob's '72 playlist.  The mighty 'berries are the TOTHK.

It's the 3rd of September on the 27th of May.

Foggit wants to make love; Iggles feel peaceful & easy; Bowie sez wham-bam-thank-ya-ma'm.

"Live like you wanna LIVE, baby!" Despite Chuck's pro-lesbian stance (kinda amazing in '72) I still have to WOS "My Ding-a-Ling".

Duuuude! VHMs DP and the Doobs, "Rockin Down the Highway Star".

BOS Still Bill, still leanin'.  Least necessary: long cool creedence in a T-Rex.

Raspberries - Go All the Way
Temptations - Papa Was a Rollin' Stone
Foghat - I Just Wanna Make Love to You
Eagles - Peaceful Easy Feeling
David Bowie - Suffragette City
Chuck Berry - My Ding a Ling
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Doobie Brothers - Rockin' Down the Highway
Bill Withers - Lean on Me
Hollies - Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)
