Wed 3/23/11: 1976

well, at least we get a Manfred Mann that *isn't* "Blinded By the Light" to start. Still a Broooce cover, tho'.

OTOH, Bob can't do a '76 set without Boston. Unfortunately.

BOS Rod the Bod's lovely version of "First Cut is the Deepest" -- a nice surprise.

Oh, mama -- he's a magic MAY-on!

BOS2 BadCo, "Silver Blue & Gold"

VHM Dame Cliff, be"Devil"ed

BOS3 Stevie Geetar Miller, "Wild Mountain Honey"

WOS Tyler Perry, er, I mean Tyler & Perry, "Last Child"

When did Seger's live "Turn the Page" become one of the most-overplayed Classic Rock tracks evah?

Manfred Mann - Spirit in the Night
Boston - More Than a Feeling
Rod Stewart - The First Cut is the Deepest
Heart - Magic Man
Bad Company - Silver, Blue & Gold
Cliff Richard - Devil Woman
Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way

Thur 3/24/11: 1973

Edgar W takes a free ride on a Led Zeppelin. Jamaica? No -- she wanted to!

VHM American Graffitti -- first time I ever heard the word "bitchin' "...

BOS1 and proxy of shray MTB, can't ya see?

BOS2 EJ's lovely "Harmony", one of the many GYBR tracks that should've been singles instead of "Bennie & the Jets"

Mr Simon's mama loves him. Well, duh -- he probably bought her a big house in Boca.

See you on the dark side of the moon, ya crazy diamond lunatic!

VHM Hocus Pocus Focus Crocus.

Da Preacha and da Teacha! LAWD! Dey a caution!

OMGWTFLOL: Zappa twice in one day! uber-BOS3 "Dirty Love"! Like some tacky little pamphlet in your daddy's bottom drawer.

It always annoys me when Bob plays "Rock On" in '73 instead of '74 (when it was a US hit)

Edgar Winter - Free Ride
Led Zeppelin - D'yer Mak'er
Marshall Tucker Band - Can't You See
Elton John - Harmony
Paul Simon - Loves Me Like a Rock
Pink Floyd - Brain Damage/Eclipse
Focus - Hocus Pocus
Doobie Brothers - China Grove
Frank Zappa - Dirty Love
David Essex - Rock On

Circa 1983 in Pittsburgh.  It's been a longtime staple there.  Also, Kid Rock made some noise with a live rendition, IIRC.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
