BOS to a fine start: "Silver Springs", the Goat at her least goaty and most compelling.

All Chucks chilluns are playin' his licks.  He'd be horrified by Wild Cherry, methinks. WOS.

and Bob closes, everso-gratuitously, with the ten billionth spin of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Mamma mia indeed.

ETA: the CD is skipping, but I'm not complaining -- a shortened "BR" is a good "BR".

Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs
 Boz Scaggs - Lowdown
Bob Seger - Rock 'n Roll Never Forgets
Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music
 Boston - Something About You
Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed
 Steely Dan - The Fez
Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane
 Stevie Wonder - As
 Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Very surprised to hear this.  I quite like it, m'self.

I've just always felt that not releasing the orig as a 45 was one of Apple's greatest blunders -- it would've been the biggest single of 1970, I have no doubt. The live version (which peaked at #10, iirc) is just a retread to me.
