[eta: song is Led Zep]

you're definitely ahead of me, geoff.

For a few secs I thought the Zep intro was the intro to "Sweet Cherry Wine". LOL!

one of those classic intros that has nothing musically to do with song, and I couldn't place it for a while either!

quite a long set today. no, that's not a complaint.  Steam notwithstanding, this was quite fab -- Hope Urth gets to hear the replay.

I was repeatedly interrupted & missed most of it, too.  So I hope I can hear the replay also.

Love those ol' 7UP (and Coke/Pepsi) ads. Are they available on CD?

here's a web page with a treasure trove of old radio spots, including Coke Pepsi and 7Up:

I was pretty sure it was going to be something good, considering how generally subpar last week was (75 conception set notwithstanding). That said, I have my yoga class tonight, so I'll probably miss the beginning at the very least. Going to try to set up to archive, but that may not work.
Let's get right to it.

Steam officially needs to be banned -- worst '69 Katrina ever. (this is it's 12th appearance, and that's just per the shraytabase -- imagine how many times Dave played it pre-db)
Disagree. I will forever associate this as a fond memory of the final game at the Stick. Thousands of people singing along. Many tears.

I think I'm with Alicat on this one, not just for the sentimental reasons mentioned, but 'cause the orchestration of this song sounds completely unique (although a case could be made that it borrows a bit from Spector)--thanks mainly to the vibes.

It may meet the basic definition (it's in more than 25% of the '69 sets in the DB, 12 of 41 if I counted correctly), but I have no problem hearing it two or three times a year.

And BOSx+1 to Spiral Starecase.
Let's get right to it.
