Do ya think there was a DJ somewhere in America today who did that?

There was an infamous jock in NYC in the late '70s named Steve "Smokin" Weed (not the same Steven Weed who's on The Bone, afaik), and his two notorious claims-to-fame involved reading the report of Freddie Prinze's suicide and following it with "Freddie's Dead" and doing the same with the story of Jack Cassidy's (David's dad) death in a house fire and segue-ing to "Fire" by the Ohio Players.
