Back in 1994 I learned of Nixon's passing on Live 105. They followed the announcement by playing the Jim Carroll song. Then it was appropriate. Not this time.

there was an infamous NYC deejay (Steve "Smokin" Weed -- NOT the guy from the Bone) who read the news about Freddie Prinze's suicide and played "Freddie's Dead"
