From playing with Zappa to all the rest, including some great solo bands, a great talent.  Ironically, when I searched the web for a link, I came across an article dated yesterday about the release of his new album, dedicated to his wife, who passed away a year ago.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

He was born in San Rafael. I didn't know that until now.
