The Peak, 7/28/08: It's 1969
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:36:14 AM »
Very unsettling to wake up to the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog."  Especially when followed by "Up on Cripple Creek."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Whoa!  BOS to what may be an ATB bustout: CSN, "Pre-Road Downs."

They liked the CSN so much they listed it twice:

Youngbloods    Darkness, Darkness
Joe Cocker    She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
Beatles    Octopus's Garden
Allman Brothers Band    Whipping Post
It's a Beautiful Day    Hot Summer Day
Rolling Stones    You Can't Always Get What You Want
The Stooges    I Wanna Be Your Dog
Band    Up On Cripple Creek
Crosby, Stills & Nash    Pre-Road Downs
Crosby, Stills & Nash    Pre-Road Downs
Thunderclap Newman    Something In The Air

Very nice -- I assume it really *is* a "hot summer day" in NYC?

It's a little overcast, so things have cooled off slightly ... but we've had about 4 or 5 solid weeks of hot summer days.  Pretty relentless, pretty brutal.  Hottest NYC summer I've had, but I've had hotter Pittsburgh summers, surprisingly.
