I assume "pageviews" means the number of times people access the site (regardless of whether they actually post) on a given day.
Yep. In internet-ese, pageviews translates to how many times any page was loaded from our site, also known as "hits." "Unique IP" (or unique users) translates to how many different people generated those hits.
Btw, if I were to read posts at work, and then check back later at home, I would likely be counted at two unique users, as I would have two separate IP addresses. So just because we had 27 unique IP's on a given day doesn't necessarily equate to 27 different people. Still, if each of us checked in from two separte IP's it shouldn't add up to 27, I don't think, so there's gotta be a few people out there lurking who aren't speaking up much, or at all.
