Oh god.  Huge WOS for the Starship.  Grace, how could you?

Ineeed. It always amazes me how fired up folks get about "We Built This City" being so awful when this and (IMHO) "Janeyjaneyjane" are far worse.

Yikes, Starship, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us From Being WOS".

where's Kim Cattrall when we need her?

What do we need her for?

This is from the movie masterpiece Mannequin starring Ms. Cattrall long before Sex and the City.

Ahh.  I'd never heard of her.

That was extremely bad.  But I kinda like "Jane".  Way better than this one or "City".  "City" is more frequently noted I think cause it gets played so much more frequently.

I didn't hear the set but I think I'll pass. Many songs I don't like including what I consider a Hit from Hell: Starship's Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (ALMOST as bad as We Built This City, the worst song of the 80's).

VHM Steve Miller, making the world turn around.  But I hope Dave makes this set turn around -- '87 being one of the most annoyingly Katrina-laden years.  (can Squeeze's "Hourglass" or Crowded House be around the corner?)

Did y'all remember who that sax solo was played by?  I know I've told this before.  This was very early in '87, and he was still unknown, playing a dance at my college (and not even in the biggest play space in our student union building, much less the campus) but by that summer he was headlining & selling out 5,000 seat venues like the Fox Theater in St. Louis, where instead of $2 bucks I had to pay $18!  Talk about inflation!

Can you imagine her agent trying to pitch her to casting directors of after this?  "What has she been in lately?  Well she just finished the title role in Mannequin.  Such realistic acting, I gotta tell ya..."
