I thought it sounded kinda prog.

Well here's your PROG! .

Prog being put to good use, tho' (anti-war, anti-wealth), instead of just pretentious incoherent gibberish (see: Rush).

Damn, Ginger is on a roll.  "I was proceeding in a southerly direction, me Lord.  Down by Waldorf Street.  A sort of Boojie Woojie music was being played..."

I think it might be "Wardour St", but agreed -- one of Ginger's best.

Exactly which 4 songs DIDN'T get BOS votes in this set?  Just curious, mind.  I find myself in ten-way tie territory.

I'll take your word for it, never been to London town me-self.

Yep, Wardour it is.  In the Picadilly/Soho area I think.

I expect to be doing that very thing (proceding down Wardour Street, hopefully not contravening a breach of the peace) in a week or so.

Can. Not. Wait. I needs me a vacation.
Let's get right to it.

BOS, the cheese medley!

Mike, I couldn't ID the last one, help me out.

Me neither -- I thought it sounded kinda prog, sorta Moodies-ish (though obviously not them), and I wondered why it was in that medley.

Are you referring to "D.O.A." by Bloodrock?  ("Iiiiiiii remember / We were flying low, and hit something in the air ...")  A real uplifter.  I put it next to "Turn-Down Day" on a mix once.

Do you remember a band called Sweet Thursday? they had a song called "Gilbert St" ("get your ticket on the Central line...") that was big on FM prog radio in the early '70s. That's another one I thought of often when I was in London.

Is that what that was?  I used to have that 45, long, LONG ago.

Nope, you've lost me on that one. If I've heard it, it hasn't been for decades. I'll snoop around and see what I can turn up though.
