Kicking off with Coldplay's "Speed of Sound."  Are we actually gonna hear Kanye West and Alicia Keys?  Wowzerz.

Should be so lucky.  We get the forgettable "Fine Line" from Macca instead.  I wanted to like Chaos and Creation but it felt more like refrigerator art: "Oh, isn't that nice, Paul's made another album."

Death Cab, Broooce, and now Green Day: I didn't realize no black artists were nominated for Grammys this year.

LOL!  While listening to KBCO's "A to Z" yesterday, they played a Joss Stone song and for a second I thought, "wow, they play Macy Gray on this station?"

I don't think Dave's done a Grammy set in the 15 years I've been listening.

"I got soul, but I'm not a soldier" might be the worst line I've ever heard in a rock song.  Doesn't help that they repeat it a dozen times like it's some mystical discovery that they're really, really proud of.

And I liked the first two Killers singles.  A lot.

BOS White Stripes -- what a shame KFOG backed way off this album after just a couple weeks of airplay.  Fogheads would rather hear 6 different Coldplay clones, apparently.

I had no idea the White Stripes song you were talking about was "My Doorbell".  That actually got a nom, huh?  That was very near to being a novelty song imho, although I still dug it.
