For once, Dave did an '87 set that was the equal of one of Rob's:

I DON'T MIND AT ALL - BOURGEOIS-TAGG
CHERRY BOMB - JOHN MELLENCAMP
HEARTBREAK BEAT - PSYCHEDELIC FURS
SIGN O' THE TIMES - PRINCE
LIPS LIKE SUGAR - ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN
SHOWDOWN AT BIG SKY - ROBBIE ROBERTSON
DON'T DREAM IT'S OVER - CROWDED HOUSE
GIRLFRIEND IN A COMA - THE SMITHS
RUNNING TO STAND STILL - U2
PEACE TRAIN - 10,000 MANIACS

They even both played the Prince tune, and this time it was Rob who succumbed to "Don't Dream it's Over".  IMHO, Dave's surprise playing of Alexander O'Neal gave him the edge in this comparison.  Tho' "Girlfriend in a Coma" is a nice touch here.
