Regional 10@10's across the time zones! / Re: KBCO, 7/25/08: 1988

BTW, Tinka -- how did you discover us? Happy accident? Google search?

I was actually crawling the web for mentions of another KFOG air personality  -- just to see if anyone else out there has the same "issues" that I have with this person -- and found your site in google results.

I think you're exactly right about Dave's 80s and 90s sets.  If I had to program an 80s or 90s set myself, I might be a little predictable, too.  Keeping current on something as broad as pop music can take a lot of energy.  But then, again, Dave is a professional DJ so ... yeah, I suppose he could do better w those.

my first time listening to this station's version of 10@10 (I'm off work today).  DJ ginger gets right to it, not any real build-in, birthday wishes, Don Pardo wheel spin, sponsor announcement.   Dave Morey's kick start to 10@10 is pretty cool, when you think of it.  I now realize how fun the start to KFOG's 10@10  really is~

But did you hear Dave say "hello to The Club"?  Did he mean us?  Does he know about us?  (sorry, Tracey.)
I think he meant the foghead birthday club.
Well, we all have birthdays...

true.. in fact, mine's less than a year away!

when the Cars tune is the least Katrinish of Set --- that's saying something! "Victim of Love" -- could this be a bustout?

And even odder if my only BOS so far is for the Cars.

so I understand there are some Cars non-lovers here?  does that include their first two albums?  I can understand losing faith after Candy-O, but the first two ...  come on, classics!  :)

well, that was fun.  I appreciate when DM gets in a 'Breakout' (did I use that correctly?) which sparks my curiosity and makes me look further into a groups output from a specific year -- in fact, I think that happened with The Doobies APAS when I first heard it on 10@10. Before then, my Doobie exposure was pretty limited. Also, I like pre-81 anything Genesis, so I suppose that's my BOS.

hey guys, I just registered.  Nice to meet ya.

I never miss 10@10 in the mornings if I'm near a radio, and it's what makes me get out of bed at a respectable hour on Saturdays.

Love the 70s, the commercials and newsy bits.  Love Don Pardo, too.

Shuggie Otis!
