About a year or so ago, I performed that at karaoke at a gay bar called Pieces.  Turned out to be a bad call: the entertainment later that evening, unbeknownest to me, was a drag queen whose Cher impersonation was central to her set.  I'd unwittingly stolen the poor thing's thunder.

But I did the song damn well, if I may say so.

You probably missed Sunday's Simpsons ep, another look-into-the-future thing that takes place roughly 8 years hence. One joke involves Smithers, who --shockingly -- is married to a woman. "But Mr Smithers... I thought you were... you know..."
